Broadway comes to Ridgefield!

Ruthless! The Musical, the 1993 Off-Broadway hit, has been revamped and is making its pre-NY workshop debut at the Theater Barn. Tickets are now available for this world premiere event!

The Ridgefield Theater Barn is proud to present the world premiere of the pre-New York workshop of Ruthless! The Musical, by Joel Paley and Marvin Laird.  The creative duo direct and musically direct this production, respectively, and have re-worked their original 1993 Off-Broadway hit in anticipation of an upcoming run in New York.  Performances will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm, January 17th through the 27th, with Sunday matinees at 2pm.

The winner of the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Lyrics and the New York Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical, Ruthless! was ahead of it’s time in exploring the subject of children (and the parents of children) in show business.  Before there was Toddlers and Tiaras, there was Ruthless! The Musical.  Some kids will do anything to get the part. Anything!

Tickets are $26/adults and $22/students and seniors.  Seating is cabaret style and doors open one hour prior to curtain.  Audience members are invited to bring food and drink to enjoy before the show and during intermission.  Reservations can be made at www.ridgefieldtheaterbarn.org

No money for the classrooms? A shame. Ridgefield's BOE just donated $25,000 of taxpayer money toRead More yet another artificial turf field. Gee, that works out to about $480 per classroom - exactly what the teachers have to spend out of their pockets on YOUR kids. Lesson: Money for sports? Yes. Money for the classroom. No.
