ReplyA friend of my mother's has a generator, and I've been living at her house ALL WEEK. Other people come in and out daily to shower or sit and chat in the warmth. One mom stayed overnight with her two young girls. This woman's generosity has been above and beyond; we still don't have power.

The newspaper bags are my family's "walk the dog" bags. We even have friends that save theirs for us.

ReplyOne of the most useful gifts I've ever gotten was a bag from Envirosax. It's a reusable bag that rolls up small enough to store in a purse. I don't forget my reusable bags anymore because it's always with me already.

ReplyCan you explain what you mean? Kids still went to kindergarten before, just for fewer hours, so how does full-day kindergarten automatically raise enrollment? (I could very well be missing something.)

ReplyRidgefield's in an interesting middle position—for regional planning purposes, the town is grouped with Brookfield and the like, but for sports leagues and cultural groups/happenings, we seem to align more with lower Fairfield County/Westchester. So I think you legitimately can frame the point either way.

ReplyLearned today that the Russian group scheduled for a Saturday performance won't be able to make it. That troupe is being replaced by a Russion group based in Boston, which will be performing a different Anton Chekhov play.
