Kim Pernerewski, Neighbor

     Kim Pernerewski works for Benchmark Senior Living which owns the Village at Brookfield Commons and Ridgefield Crossings in the Danbury area.  Kim grew up in New Milford before leaving to attend college in Tucson, AZ at the University of Arizona.  Kim now resides in Waterbury with her husband Paul and her son Pauly.  They have 2 grown children, 1 who lives in Colorado.  Kim volunteers for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) by running support groups, teaching classes and doing speaking engagements.  She is also the current president of the NAMI Waterbury affiliate.  In October 2011, Kim received the Guardian Ad Litem and NAMI Waterbury Heroine Award for her years of leadership and devotion to NAMI CT and NAMI Waterbury.  She is very happy to be working in her hometown area and reconnecting with those she grew up with.
