Branchville Elementary School, whose motto is "Educating Everyone Takes Everyone!" is one of six elementary schools…More in Ridgefield. It has about 430 students in grades K-5.</p> <p>Led by principal Jason McKinnon, the school uses research-based methods to ensure students reap the benefits of the latest educational programs and philosophies. In addition, all teachers at Branchville are being trained to incorporate social skill building into their academic activities as part of the school's Responsive Classroom program.</p> <p>Branchville's Parent Teacher Association funds Branchville enrichment through teaching mini-grants and by running before and after school activities like Chess Club, Foreign Language Club, a writing program, author programs and a school newspaper. The PTA also publishes a monthly newsletter for the school community called the Branchville Buzz.</p>
