I have purchased at B & Z several times in the past, it was nice to have the store there. Since…Read More the closing of the shoe store and the Gap, why go to town to get some things and still have to go to the mall to buy complementing items, just like the owner said, it is just easier when you can get it all in one stop. It certainly is disappointing as it is getting harder and harder to "shop local" when the local shops are Real Estate and Financial Institutions..........sad:(. I also think that e-commerce has a lot to do with it too. Many Internet sites deliver in a day or two so, especially in the winter, why should I bundle up to go to a store downtown, when it comes to me?!?

I'm okay with changing the zoning from residential to business, not a variance, but changing the…Read More zoning. I think all of Route 7 should be business. But I think wetlands are still wetlands and building should never be done on wetlands. I don't know the exact details in this particular situation, but if wetlands are involved, then wetlands should be protected. No more variances. We need to stop Ridgefield from becoming Long island.
One other thing, the sign on Route 7 announcing the public hearing is silly. What, are cars driving buy at 55 mph supposed to somehow read that miniscule sign? I see things like that sign and think to myself, hmmm, maybe local governments aren't making the best decisions....

How about a store that only sells different kinds of animal crackers? Either that, or an Autozone.…Read More I can't decide. But actually, only if the Autozone is Euro-themed. And the animal cracker shop MUST be eco-friendly.
