It says Around Town but the headline is UTAH. Utah is not near Natick!! I think everyone should notRead More open an article on Patch unless they see their town's name in the headline. So If it doesn't say Natick, then we all know it is not LOCAL to the Natick Patch. The less clicks these Patch sites get, the fewer advertisers they will get and then perhaps they will realize if we want sensational news from across the country we'd go back to Patch's former owners AOL and the HuffPost! Those here from other Patch sites - I think you should do the same only click on articles that mention your community's name. No name. No click!

Pave, Pipe, Pollute that is the "Connecticut Way" headed by SWRPA and Robert MosesRead More devotees. P.E. brains and union only work has created the mess we are in, an expensive mess. 1/2 inch of rain causes ugly results. The real "American Way" was careful thoughtful effective land management especially by farmers here since the 1630's. They used a number of Native American techniques, especially along rivers and streams. Thanks in large measure to Yale, Landscape Architects were taken out of the equation. We represented a true base of design, especially drainage concepts as we switched away from farm dependency. Though of now more as 'exterior designers" who put parsley 'round the pig that should not be there we should be given the chance to correct the mistakes made especially over the last 50 years. Sportsmen, developers, tree huggers, landowners could be brought together ending a lot of waste and angst brought clueless policies and fear sales. Do we rename SWRPA correctly to be South West Pavers Association or make it into South West Real Planning Advisory and let landowners have their say?

Really, you must be a gov troll to be their attack dog. I guess you like being the traitor ofRead More American sovereignty. If you're a democrat why not get the book Democrats against Agenda 21 sustainable development - BEHIND THE GREEN MASK by Rosa Koir. ha ha - Face your own party. Not all democrats are anti American and have a denial complex- that author is a Democrat, is gay, and is a liberal who works as a commercial land assessor in CA - who laughs last. Do you think she might know a little about land use? got you number buddy.

Rosa Koire ASA is a forensic commercial real estate appraiser specializing in eminent domainRead More valuation. She has worked for 30 analyzing land use and property value enabled her to recognize the planning revolution sweeping the nation. While fighting to stop a huge redevelopment project in her city she researched the corporate, political and financial interest behind it and found UN Agenda 21. Deja Vu: 4 years ago (March 30, 2010) severe flooding occurred along Hunt's Brook. How chillingRead More that the residents of that area should face the possibility of flooding again, on the same date, without any corrective action by the Town of Waterford being done. Lightning might not strike twice in the same place but flooding certainly can; 1982, 2007, 2008, 2009, 3/14/2010, 3/30/2010. Now, before people jump on the bandwagon with the infamous "You live in a floodplain, move out" take a moment to educate yourself; look up the 100 and 500 year flood zones at the FEMA Map Service Center. Interesting isn't it, that we haven't experienced a 100 or 500 year rainfall event, but the residents continue to be flooded out. Kevin M. Ziolkovski / flood victim

Beth Smith, Is the HamdenPatch truly a local newspaper? The answer to that question can only beRead More determined by what side of the paper fence you are on. The HamdenPatch does cover some Hamden local news, but the better name for this Patch newspaper would be the Regional Patch News.

Ridgefield "patriot". Assault weapons aren't used in street crime. Pistol mags areRead More restricted to a max of ten rounds. You think criminals are putting only ten rounds in their 12-18 round mags? How many criminals do you think registered their assault weapons? I'm just looking for an approximation. Want to buy bullets without the required permit, just go out of state. That's what I did until recently because I wanted to order on-line. Had 240 rounds brought to my house by fed-ex. I'm getting a shit-load more delivered. Hope that pisses you off. My newest rifle is a Ruger Tactical mini-14. It's Malloy compliant. Practically no different than the outlawed version, just enough to make Malloy and Lawlor happy. And nobody is getting hurt. Molon Labe!
Tom Renzo March 10, 2014 at 05:30 pm
@ Ridgefield patriot I was just wondering if Ridgefield Rebel is mad about the illegal gun buy backRead More in Ridgefield. Thats right we are waiting for a ruling about these illegal gun buy backs being dun by these towns. Seems like Ct law once again was passed that covers this and makes it illegal by definition. Me and bob have discussed this several times with the legislators and they use there normal answers. WE WILL LOOK IN TO IT BS. So be it as it may ammo is readily available with a short drive over the border and transported back to CT. As well as high cap mags which by the way have no serial numbers. So once again these laws mean nothing to me and nothing to bad guys. You see bad guys dont follow the law. OR DIDN'T YOU KNOW THAT Ridgefield Rebel!! But i guess being a resident of snoot ville you are exempt from common sense.
Tom Renzo March 10, 2014 at 05:39 pm
RP i have to go over my posts as i transpose your name and the other person all the time. Sorry if iRead More messed up the names. You know it is funny how these liberal dems do not understand what this is all about. They think what they are doing is some way going to stop this. they are delusional at best. By the way both Columbine and VT shootings were dun with standard mags. And further more clebogs girl friend bought the columbine guns at a gun show because he was not 18 years old. So to why is she not in jail. She was never prosecuted under the law. Neither was the shooter in nearby NY that killed 2 fire fighters with an illegal AR15 bought once again by his girlfriend. So i was just wondering how the Ridgefield Rebel feels about gun laws on the books are IGNORED. Go for it and answer that question my friend

2012 Cell Phone and Driving Statistics In 2012, 3,328 people were killed in distraction-relatedRead More crashes. About 421,000 people were injured in crashes involving a distracted driver. In 2012, 11% of drivers under age 20 involved in fatal accidents were reported to be distracted at the time of the crash. One-fourth of teenagers respond to at least one text message every time they drive and 20% of teens and 10% of parents report having multi-message text conversations while driving. 2012 National Survey on Distracted Driving Attitudes and Behaviors Nearly half (48%) of drivers admit to answering their cell phone while driving. Of those who answer their phones while driving, 58% of drivers continue to drive while talking on the phone. In the survey, 24% of drivers reported that they are willing to make a phone call while driving. One in 10 drivers surveyed said that, at least sometimes, they send text messages or emails while driving. Of the drivers surveyed, 14% said they read text messages or emails while driving. A majority of respondents support laws that ban talking on cell phones, texting, or emailing while driving. >>>>>>>>>>>>>> I am sure you can find a couple out of the figures i just posted by the FEDS. make jokes i do not care but those 26 GOONS have it all wrong. believe what you want you sound like a typical limousine liberal that does not want the facts or the truth about things,So pound the gun owners to death and keep up the quest o ban guns. like i said if you do not like guns do not buy one. Save for retirement and college too and ever rising gas prices. Conservatism will never trump the selfish needs.
Matt March 4, 2014 at 05:17 pm
Maria: What on earth does any of that babble have to do with dialing a different area code? (answer:Read More nothing) I think you are completely missing the point here. It is a new area code for NEW phone numbers. This changes nothing with current phone numbers. This changes nothing for you. This changes nothing for anyone, anywhere. It is just making more NEW numbers available for NEW phones and NEW people. Not you. So there is no inconvenience to you or anyone else anywhere. P Troy: That would be wonderful. You get started on replacing the entire twisted pair POTS dial tone telephone infrastructure with an IP based network. Let us know who is going to pay for it and when it will be done.

There is no debate about the fact that burning carbon based fuels is creating climate change. ItRead More comes down to whether or not anyone wants to pay the cost of changing the source of the energy we use. I just added more insulation to my house and bought new, highly insulated garage doors. I will replace my windows and will add solar panels in the future. I do walk or ride my bike when feasible.
