I like the hot dog guy too, but honestly, I think the price is too high. The other day, two hotdogsRead More and a drink cost me over $8. Curious, I went to stop and shop and bought 20 Oscar Meyer all beef hotdogs for $5. Then $2 for two packs of 8 buns. So I made 16 hotdogs with buns for $7 (with 4 dogs left over). I wish the hotdog man well, but I can't buy from him anymore.

Could someone at the library speak to the the construction delays? What caused it? I was under theRead More impression the new library would be completed in November 2013. Now the target date seems to be six months later. Do you think there will be more delays? Will these delays cost more money? I'm sure the new library will be wonderful, but I'd like to better understand what is happening with the construction. Thank you.

Thank you! to a reader who emailed me with a fond recollection of Harry's wife, Natalie who passedRead More away in 2012. This fills in more detail about what I saw at the sale. Read below (note-I mistakenly reported that Harry passed away in 2012 when it was actually 2011- my apologies for the error): another piece to the puzzle... I was one of the students that had piano lessons at this house. Harry's wife Natalie was not just any piano teacher, she had a huge amount of significance in the music world. Hope this helps put the pieces together a little. http://www.westport-news.com/news/article/Natalie-Ryshna-Maynard-pianist-dies-at-85-3391633.php

It is so great that you were able to break the mold. The system isn't perfect, but what in life is-Read More Nothing! We are all responsible for our role in the process. What POSITIVE things are you doing to help change it for future children? I myself have adopted 4 kids on top of my 3, and testify at legislature to help change things all the time. I promote teen adoption, mentoring etc... I say this, not for a pat on the back, but to say, get involved to make a change. Its easy to sit back and moan and groan about how bad something is, get out there and make positive change. It's the toughest and best thing I have the privilege to do. God Bless you and I pray the very best for you in your future. D

Thank you Melissa!!

Thank you for your response Jayne. We are hoping to let people see that children are children andRead More that these are kids with perhaps the same interests as ones own kids or even themselves. In seeing this perhaps more people will open their hearts and homes to help give these kids a chance.
