- Rudy Marconi was re-elected in November 2007 for his fifth term as First Selectman.
- Before he was elected to the Board of Selectmen in 1993, Marconi served in the Planning and Zoning Commission for four years.
- Currently, he also serves as the co-chair of Ridgefield Community Coalition Against Substance Abuse, board member of CT Alliance Against Casino Expansion and chairman of Housatonic Resources Recovery Authority among other things.
- Marconi did his schooling in Ridgefield Public Schools and then got his BBA from Nichols College of Business Administration.
- He worked in the paper and printing industry for 15 years before he joined the family contracting company.
