Scotland Elementary School, which serves about 390 students in grades K through 5, is one of the six elementary schools in Ridgefield. It sits on property adjacent to Barlow Mountain Elementary School.

The school emphasizes integrating technology and research skills into the academic curriculum as well as enrichment through before and after school extracurricular activities.

The Parent Teacher Association at Scotland Elementary publishes Scotty's Scoop, a monthly informational newsletter, that is sent home with the eldest or only child in each family.
