Ridgebury Elementary School, serving about 470 students in grades K through five, is one of the six elementary schools in Ridgefield. The school emphasizes helping children become active participants in their learning process. In addition to academic and extracurricular activities, students at Ridgebury Elementary are encouraged to give back to the community through the Kids Care Club, which organizes service projects like fund-raising bake sales, making holiday gift boxes for needy families and preparing bagged lunches for the Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen in Danbury.
