Located within the town's Recreation Center at 195 Danbury Rd., Littleville Preschool provides children ages 1 through 6 with many exciting and nurturing activities.
Four-year-olds, 5-year-olds and kindergartners can enroll in “June Mini Camp” or “Messy Fun Camp,” both of which offer a variety of classes featuring sports like “kiddie lacrosse” and arts and crafts. Both camps have flexible enrollment schedules. Messy Fun Camp, for example, allows children to attend either half- or full-day classes two to five times a week.
Littleville Preschool also offers programs like Twos Alone, where children explore art, music and imaginative play; Love of Learning for Threes, which also incorporates music and “movement time;" and Fantastic Fours and Fives, which prepares children for kindergarten with lessons in motor skills, writing, music, science, gymnastics, fitness and outdoor bike riding. This Fours and Fives program also features "weekly reader" sessions, and all three of these programs offer children access to Littleville’s giant playground, named "Sky's the Limit." The preschool’s newest program is Dora the Explorer’s Musical Friends, which explores world languages and cultures through music, art and games.
In addition, Littleville Preschool offers nine-week Parent & Child programs in music, art and open gym. Littleville’s kindergarten enrichment program, called Journey to Imagination, uses puppets, word play, phonetic games, handwriting and art projects to enhance fine motor skills and literacy.
