Farmingville Elementary School
203-431-2830
Farmingville, which serves about 400 students in grades kindergarten through five, is one of the six elementary schools in Ridgefield. The school motto is "Where good things grow."
Students there participate in a research-based academic curriculum which encourages each of them to be active learners, connecting their life experiences to content introduced in the classroom.
The Farmingville Parent Teacher Association publishes The Backpack Gazette newsletter to keep parents apprised of school happenings. The PTA also organizes school spirit events like the annual Welcome Back picnic and helps run before and after school programs, like the World Language program, which allows Farmingville students to learn Spanish or French before the school day.
The principal of Farmingville Elementary is Susan Gately.
