In Bed with Wall Street, Tot & Me Yoga, Feathered Friends

Join the Tot & Me Yoga at Ridgefield Library for free at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Ridgefield Library. Come deepen the bond created at birth between parent and child with Kismet Kids tot & me yoga classes. Yoga-play helps toddlers develop muscle control, balance and coordination, as well as develop physical and emotional awareness. 

Join the Ridgefield Guild of Artists at noon Wednesday for Animal Spirit, a member show. “Animal Spirit” conjures infinite interpretations, from the primal to the ethereal, the literal to the abstract. The human-as-animal spirit, the spiritual energy from nature that inspires us, the seen (and unseen) life that surrounds us every day. The Ridgefield Guild of Artists invites you to embark on a journey to bring your own unique spirit to the colors, shapes, and meanings this theme evokes.

Author Larry Doyle will meet and greet people to discuss his new book, "In Bed with Wall Street," about the connection between Washington and Wall Street. This event takes place at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Ridgefield Library.

Join the Feathered Friends Workshop Friday at Hemlock Hills for kids ages 4 and up. Help build a backyard bird feeder. 

Artist in Residence: Ben Larrabee

Parenting Styles and Communication: Inclusion and Special Needs Lecture 

$5, 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Stamford JCC, 1035 Newfield Avenue, Stamford: “Please join us for this interactive presentation on Parenting Styles and Communication. Dr. Renee Krochek and Dr. Keara Conway will present and discuss seven characteristics associated with parenting; review research associated with Diana Baumrind’s parenting styles, and guide parents in determining their own parenting style. Discussion will include the developmental nature of parenting, the importance of adapting parenting techniques to fit your child’s developmental needs, and now to effectively discipline and communicate with your children. The JCC welcomes all!”

Legends of the 60s 

$50, 8 p.m. Thursday at The Palace/Stamford Center for the Arts, 61 Atlantic St., Stamford: “The Greenwich United Way will celebrate its 80th Anniversary with a benefit concert featuring the talents of legendary musicians Peter Noone (Herman's Hermits), Micky Dolenz (The Monkees), and Mark Lindsay (Paul Revere and the Raiders). Collectively, these artists have sold over 175 million records and had 45 top-40 hits.”
