Recycle Your Christmas Tree

Ridgefield's Boy Scout Troop 116 will pick up your Christmas Tree Saturday for people who put it at the end of their driveway by 6:30 a.m.

To make a reservation to have your tree picked up please go towww.ridgefieldtroop116.com.

As the town no longer offers tree chipping on that Saturday, this is a community service provided by Troop 116 that helps everyone. Troop 116 provided this information to Ridgefield Patch.

Last year, over 85 scouts, alumni, and their families worked a full day to collect trees, thus delivering 9 tons of mulch to the soil to help plants grow.
The troop is suggesting a $17 donation per tree.  The funds collected help support the troop’s activities such as High Adventure and community service projects.  The troop also donates a portion to Boy Scouts of America and to local Ridgefield conservation projects.
