Chris Carlson, owner of PTP personal training, was between clients when his neighbor, Rebecca Reda of Kennedy's All American Barber Club, burst into his training facility Monday. PTP and Kennedy's are neighbors at 105 Danbury Road.
We're hosting a fundraiser for Sphere, Reda said, and we need some items for the silent auction. Sphere is an organization that helps people with disabilities. Carlson agreed to donate some workouts, and Reda launched into a description of the charity fundraiser from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot at 105 Danbury Road.
"Sphere does great work," Reda said. "They help people with developmental disabilities."
The fundraiser will include face painting and activities for children, a silent auction and a barbecue. It may include jewelry making and it will likely include sales of Sphere jewelry.
One event for the young gentlemen, Reda said, will be mock straight razor shaves. A straight razor cut one of the specialties at Kennedy's All American Barber Club.
