New Principal for SRMS
The school board voted unanimously to approve hiring Danbury High School Assistant Principal Tim Salem.
Tim Salem, an assistant principal at Danbury High School, will be the new principal of Scotts Ridge Middle School beginning July 1.
Salem's hiring was unanimously approved by the Board of Education (absent Lyn Merrill) at Monday night's meeting.
Salem has been one of Danbury's assistant principals for the past six years, Superintendent Deborah Low said before the vote. Before that, he taught history there for a decade.
