Full-Day K Vote Tonight
After listening to residents' views on the 2010-11 budget proposal at a second public hearing Saturday, the school board may vote on whether to accept it.
The Board of Education held the second of two public hearings on its proposed 2010-11 budget at East Ridge Middle School on Saturday morning.
Like most discussion on this year's school budget, most commenters focused on the proposal to institute full-day kindergarten in the town's six elementary schools this coming fall.
The school board has a meeting tonight, and possible votes both on the implementation of full-day kindergarten and on the overall budget proposal are on the agenda.
