Swim Instructor Course (ages 16+)

Have you ever thought about becoming a swim instructor?  Students 16 years old or older who complete this course will receive an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certificate.

Classes meet June 11 to June 15 (M-F) at Barlow Mountain School pool from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm.  To be eligible for this course you need to successfully complete the pre-course skills test on Saturday, June 9 at the Recreation Center pool from 9:00 am to 10:30 am.  

This program is $435 for Recreation Center members and $465 for non-members.  Please note that the rates include a $150 nonrefundable deposit in the event that a participant does not pass the pre-course skills test and is ineligible for the program.

If you complete this program and Ridgefield Parks & Recreation hires you, we will reimburse you for 50% of the cost of the course.
