Mending the Mind Lecture: Beat Stress before it Beats you.

Mending the mind lecture – On Tues., Jan 24, from 10AM to 12PM, at Keeler Tavern, 132 Main Street, the Ridgefield League of Women Voters will host a lunch and learn lecture on stress reduction with speaker Dr. Paul Donoghue, bestselling author of Sick and Tired of Feeling Sick and Tired.  The lecture titled, Beat Stress before it Beats you, will offer practical tips and techniques that can help you handle stress better in your daily life.  Dr Donoghue, who is a much sought after speaker, has appeared on NBC’s Today Show and has been featured in The New York Times.  Currently, he is a director of Community Psychological Consultants in Stamford.  Dr. Donoghue will help you learn how to adjust your mental attitude to overcome stressful periods, either through outside stimulation and activities or through your thoughts. Stress is a fact of life. It is something every one of us has to deal with everyday that affects our health and wellness.  Stress is all around us, from financial pressures to family situations.  If you can imagine a life with less stress, this lecture is for you.  Please come and join the League for this informative session to empower yourself to reduce stress in your life.
