Lunch and Learn on Fibromyalgia at Laurel Ridge

Laurel Ridge Health Care Center, located at 642 Danbury Road (Route 7), is pleased to host a 'lunch and learn' lecture on "Understanding Fibromyalgia" on Tuesday, Oct. 26, from 12PM-1PM.  Dr. Nickalos Peterson, guest speaker for the Foundation for Wellness, will discuss a holistic approach to managing this disease, encompassing nutrition, diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes, such as stress reduction, detoxification and natural healthcare, which will help one manage this condition and return to a healthier, happier lifestyle.  He will educate people about safe, effective and natural alternative methods for addressing Fibromyalgia and chronic pain and fatigue symptoms.

Dr. Nickalos L. Peterson graduated from National College in 1976. Prior to studying at Chiropractic School, he attended Iowa State University with a B.S. in Psychology and received a Bronze Star for service while serving as a medic in Vietnam. Dr. Peterson has been practicing for over 30 years in Ridgefield. He has been in his current location for 25 years. Since he began practicing chiropractic, Dr. Peterson has kept up to date on many continuing education classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced chiropractic care including the following: C.C.S.P Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician from New York College of Chiropractic 1993 and a team chiropractor for the Connecticut Wolves professional soccer team; International Academy of Medical Acupuncture 2002; Dr Cox Distraction Technique for disc cases; CT Chiropractic Association A.C.A.

This free program is open to the public. Laurel Ridge Health Care Center, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility committed to providing residents and patients with the highest quality of care available while promoting wellness and health, will host this lecture program.
