Enjoying the Great Outdoors - Lyme Free

Enjoying the Great Outdoors-Lyme Free is the topic of a talk to be given at the Ridgefield Library on Wednesday July 20 at 7p.m.With tick-borne diseases on the rise, the question on every one’s mind is ‘How can we stay safe and continue to enjoy our natural surroundings?’

Dr. Neeta Connally will share findings from her research conducted at Yale University School of Public Health’s emerging Infections Program which identified the most effective measures for avoiding Lyme disease. Master gardener and landscape designer Tessa O’Regan will focus on planting recommendations and landscape modifications that will help to discourage deer and reduce tick abundance.

A ‘Safe Gardening’ basket will be given to one lucky winner.
