Communicating Your Message - Ridgefield Chamber Rise & Shine Breakfast

On Tuesday, November 23, the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a Rise & Shine Networking breakfast, "Communicating Your Message," featuring Tom Martin (shown here), a leader in the field of public relations.  The event, co-sponsored by the Ridgefield Library, will be held at the Dayton Room at the Ridgefield Library at 7:30 a.m. – 9 a.m.  Mr. Martin will describe how business leaders can tell their story, connect to customers and improve business results.  This is the fourth program in a series designed by the Chamber to take advantage marketing, branding and connecting with customers to build a business.

"Challenging times offer great opportunities," according to Marion Roth, executive director of the Chamber. "This session will talk about how to reach a vast number of potential customers through cutting-edge public relations strategies that use social networking tools like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. Studies have shown that during a tough economy, traditional advertising is less persuasive, and connecting with new customers through the news media and social networking is more effective than ever."

Mr. Martin has 20 years of extensive journalism experience producing stories for America's top network news anchors, including Diane Sawyer and Charlie Rose.  He has also played key management roles in a number of New York's top public relations firms.
