ERMS Asst. Principal Adam Rosen Takes Westport Position

Dr. Adam Rosen, ERMS Assistant Principal, has been appointed Principal of Bedford Middle School in Westport effective July 1.

Dr. Adam Rosen, an assistant principal at East Ridge Middle School, has been appointed principal of Bedford Middle School in Westport.

According to Ridgefield Schools Superintendent Deborah Low, Dr. Rosen served as science teacher at ERMS from 1999 until his appointment as Assistant Principal in 2007. During that time, he supervised several departments, participated in Child Study Team meetings, provided PD on topics such as SRBI, participated in numerous state and district level committees including Ridgefield Schools Science Steering Committee and Tools for Schools, judged debates and competitions, and assisted in ERMS’ Blue Ribbon Award nomination.

Most recently, he formed a partnership with town merchants and students to highlight appropriate behavior on Main Street on Friday afternoons.

"Dr. Rosen’s commitment to students, excellent contributions to programs, outreach to parents, and tireless energy will be missed. We are sorry to see him leave," Low wrote in a press release. "However, we also wish him good luck and success in Westport."

The district will begin a search process soon for his replacement.
