Ridgefield Sees Third Highest Voter Turnout in CT

The top ten municipalities in Connecticut with the highest turnout in the 2012 elections.

Ridgefield voters take democracy seriously. The town had a huge 89.4 percent turnout compared to the 73.8 percent turnout throughout the state.

Out of 15,711 eligible voters, 14,048 voted, according to figures provided by the Connecticut Secretary of State’s office. Republicans mostly swept the state and national elections in Ridgefield, except for U.S. Rep. Jim Himes (D), who won the town and the election.
