Ridgefield Needs Volunteers to Serve on Conservation, Other Boards

Vacancies on Conservation Commission and eight other committees and councils.

The town of Ridgefield is looking to fill an opening on the Conservation Commission, as well as vacation seats on a handful of other councils and committees.

Applicants for the Conservation Commission position must be willing and able to attend biweekly meetings (every other Monday night at 7:30 p.m.), as well as occasion site walks (usually Friday mornings) and Tuesday night Planning and Zoning Commission meetings on a rotating basis.

Time and willingness to help with trail maintenance, land use expertise, knowledge of natural resources and an interest in promoting the Commission’s work through education and outreach will also be taken into consideration.
