Panel Tackling Affordable Housing Tonight

The Ridgefield League of Women Voters is hosting an informational event that is free and open to the public.

It's a topic in the news and it's a topic on many Ridgefield residents' minds: affordable housing.

It will also be the topic of discussion at a meeting tonight, March 11, in the Town Hall conference room. Sponsored by the Ridgefield League of Women Voters, the informational event is free and open the the public. It starts at 7 p.m.

According to an event posted on Patch, the forum will not present a debate on the topic, but rather offer the shared expertise of experienced professionals.

Three Speakers on the Panel

"Panel speaker Betty Brosius, the Director of Planning for the Town of Ridgefield, will offer an overview of the categories within the framework of affordable housing, as well as report on the status of the moratorium application and its implications," the event release states.

"Dave Goldenberg, as a member of the Affordable Housing Committee, will cover the role of the Affordable Housing Committee in Ridgefield. He will also share his knowledge concerning the best ways for the Town of Ridgefield to address the growing need of its population for housing that is affordable."

"In addition to Mrs. Brosius and Mr. Goldenberg, Mr. Steve Zemo will offer his perspective from the point of view of a town resident and local developer."
