I've known Jeff for a good while and while I'm a Libertarian I have always known Jeff to put the peoples best interest in the forefront of his mind , and that's why I support him. He listens and that is what a politician should do. Elect Boni

Jeff, thanks for responding. Just thinking out loud, as mentioned, one of the problems with John Frey is he is a republican in a state controlled by the democrats. This is a marketing opportunity for you. With John Frey, we pay a lot of taxes to Hartford, but we don't get very much back.Get yourself photographed with the Democratic leaders in Hartford, smiles all around. Show RIdgefield that you will have a better relationship with Hartford than John Frey currently has. Tell Ridgefield that you will have the best chance of getting more money back from Hartford. You will find the democrats in Hartford will be glad to work with you on this because they would like John Frey ousted. Another thing, I don't know how you feel about this, but go after 8-30g housing. The majority of RIdgefield voters would not like to see affordable housing on Main Street. I have seen nothing from John Frey on this front. Nothing from this candidate who also happens to be a realtor..... Seize this opportunity. Define yourself as the candidate who will work with Hartford to "fix" 8-30g. I'm not suggesting you throw away your democratic principles. You can still be for affordable housing. But perhaps the message is you will work with Hartford so that towns will at least have some control over the affordable housing, like we can say no to Main Street housing, but yes to Danbury Road housing. Real hot button issue. Be proactive, unlike JF, and you will win votes.
John Symon August 09, 2012 at 03:38 AM
I'm not sure if anyone in our town likes the idea of 8-30g. There was an article here on Patch regarding Frey's proposals to change the law just in March - http://ridgefield.patch.com/announcements/rep-frey-proposes-changes-to-affordable-housing-8-30g-statutes Question is, why did it take Rudy a year to file for a moratorium?? January 13, 2012 Ridgefield Press article: This week Ms. Mucchetti expressed frustration that the selectmen hadn't taken up the moratorium initiative sooner. She and commission Vice Chairman Patrick Walsh had taken the idea to Mr. Marconi on June 24 (2011) she said, when the commission was starting the hearing process for the North Salem Road project. "We told him we knew, as we reviewed this one affordable housing project in front of us, that others were waiting and watching," she said. "We had the records, and we gave it to him and encouraged him to follow up... "He indicated to us he wanted to go forward and pursue it. That was in June," Ms. Mucchetti said, "and then we didn't hear anything." Asked about it this week, Mr. Marconi confirmed that he'd talked to the zoning officials about it in the summer. "We had a meeting on it, but there wasn't any urgency," he said.

With John Frey, we pay a lot of taxes to Hartford, but we don't get very much back. @$2 Let me get this straight!!! You are asking a DEMOCRAT to battle 8-30g!!!! You do realize the DEMS BESTOWED THIS ON US AND YOU ALSO REALIZE JOHN DOES NOT LIKE IT ONE BIT. So your answer is to add more LIBERAL DEMS. Once again dont elect any more LIBERAL DEMS. Personally i am not rich enough to be a LIBERAL DEM!! ARE YOU???
Tom Falconieri August 09, 2012 at 10:02 AM
Tom Falconieri 6:00 am on Thursday, August 9, 2012 So what about KING RUDY dragging his feet on 8-30G??? ON MY GOD!!! HIS WIFE IS A REALTOR. And further more you just might be surprised with the deals she is directly involved with. D'OH!!! Do me a favor and post anything a liberal dem did for the working class. Read the kids fathers post. He states he is a REPUBLICAN. Well what is with THAT D'OH!!!

Ever hear of the minimum wage, or anti sweat shop regulations?
Christine E. August 09, 2012 at 06:09 PM
"I think he doesn't do very much" is pretty vague. Would you mind elaborating?
Christine E. August 09, 2012 at 06:12 PM
"I have seen nothing from John Frey on this front". Then you must be blind.

I wish Jeff luck but it is a tremendous up hill climb. John Frey is the epitome of what a State Rep is and Ridgefield is truly blessed to have him. Jeff, this is a note to you specifically. Your DTC supporters will want you to take a hard turn to the negative. They do every 2 years, stay above that please; let the leaders of the DTC know you will not go there. come up with your own message and stay the course. because at the end of the day you will not win this election but you will have to return to be a neighbor, friend and employed in this town. Remember Randal Balmer had to leave town after his campaign of lies and deceit. Di Masters had a horrible mailer that went out right before the election. Same for Mr. Hyman he had a negative mailer as well. People remember this stuff. Thanks for getting involved.

John Dont bother with this guy. He engages in non-stop ad-hominem attacks. Intelligent people debate ideology and facts. These guys (paul d nutmegger lmao --all the same person) incapable of anything thought-provoking, asks if your name is real, or where you live. Its insipid....

Joycie, you poor soul, you continue to lie about honorable people. Your sickness appears to be beyond treatment.
JoshOfOlden_Times August 10, 2012 at 02:17 AM
John...... Ignore these newcomers..... I've been here 57 years and the story is always the same..... They come from the big city and after 6 months they know what's best for Ridgefield..... I've seen them come and I've seen them go..... They will move away soon enough..... Show me someone who's been her over 30 years when the high school was on east ridge, him I'll listen to him..... Your name sounds familiar..... Maybe I knew your old man.... How long you been in town John?
Tom Falconieri August 10, 2012 at 03:03 AM
Well said and the only problem they leave a GIANT TAX BILL BEHIND. The IBM people were known for this and they left us quite a large TAX BILL OVER THE YEARS!! Only problem Josh all the old timers are gone so we are in the minority. I am willing to bet their is less than 20% of the residents that knew where the old HIGH SCHOOL EVEN WAS. We are a dying breed and the invaders did a great job of destroying this town. Look around IT AINT SO NICE ANY MORE D'OH!!!
Frederick Klein August 10, 2012 at 03:42 PM
Your use of capital letters and exclamation points has persuaded me to adopt your view.
WholuvsthSUN August 11, 2012 at 03:09 PM
What does length in town have to do with anything. And BTW Jeff isn't from a big city. You old people should get a grip and realize that the republican party put us all in a deep recession we aren't getting out of. BTW Tom, your bullying is ridiculous. Get over yourself.
WholuvsthSUN August 11, 2012 at 03:17 PM
Not to mention, "Ridgefield an't so nice anymore." Are you in the Twilight Zone. Go to the heart of brooklyn and see what isn't nice anymore. What an old fart.

Tom Falconieri 1:49 pm on Saturday, August 11, 2012 Tom Falconieri 1:46 pm on Saturday, August 11, 2012 Well it just so happens i have a brother that lives on DOUGLASS ST IN BROOKLYN!!! Care to buy his house he wants 1.9 MILLION BUCKS. Hand him a check and it is YOURS. He just turned down a 1.4 MILLION dollar offer for his house. You must be delusional if you think Ridgefiels has not falling apart. Look around it aint so nice any more. Not that i am so old as but a native i can say with confidence this place is SHOT. If you need justification look at the stores the congestion the meter maids the traffic and the wall to wall people in this town. Sounds just like Brooklyn does it not???. Not to mention enrollments are falling!!! Can you explain that. Hello!!! people are avoiding this town. Plain and simple. Property values are TANKING. And the selectmen are passing laws that are not only foolish and stupid. They are also spending money like drunken sailors on shore leave. Tell me i am wrong!!! Your turn!!!

Lets see the O MAN spent more money than any other president combined and the actual unemployment is 20%. So blame BUSH as the liberals always do. And i am not bullying anyone. The truth hurts. By the way the town the REPUBLICANS built sure were invaded by liberals wasn't it!!! Now it is run by liberal dems and the place STINKS!!!
John Symon August 11, 2012 at 08:33 PM
I was here all thru school (new high school), away for college and early part of my career. I'm blessed that I was able to move back nearly 20 years ago. And still have a fair number of family in area. I know Ridgefield pretty well. Love it here, despite some of the changes. I'm glad I was raised here when I was. Back to topic. Jeff is probably a great guy. Nice to see someone in their 20's take an interest in government. But for may reasons, I'm for John Frey. And if an unscientific poll is any indication (among my friends and neighbors) it won't be a close election.

John Symon, I'm confused when you say you live here. You very well might. But there is no one by your name in the phone book. The is no one by your name on the tax rolls. There is no one by your name with an automobile registered here. You do manage to fly under the radar. Are you sure you live in Ridgefield?
Elmer Fudd August 18, 2012 at 08:32 PM
Oh Luca, relax!
John Symon August 19, 2012 at 03:02 AM
I live here. This is my real name, but not my full name. I did that for fear of stalkers.... Like you.
