Ridgefield Women Accused of Stealing Jewelry

The following arrest information was provided by the Ridgefield Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

Bonnie Dewkett, 33, of Revere Drive in Ridgefield, was arrested on July 9 on a charge of fourth-degree larceny. According to the police, Dewkett turned herself in after allegedly stealing jewelry from a Ridgefield home. Bail was set at $250 and she’s scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Danbury on July 23.

A Ridgefield woman was arrested on July 8 after allegedly shoplifting from . According to the police, Aimee Tiger, 47, of Ridgebury Road, reportedly tried leaving the department store without paying for two pieces of jewelry. She was stopped by store employees and later charged with sixth-degree larceny. Tiger was released on a promise to appear in state Superior Court in Danbury on July 24.

DUIs

A two-car accident on West Lane involved a Ridgefield woman accused of driving under the influence. The accident happened at approximately 2:20 p.m. Bail for Suzanne Hay-Patafio, 48, was set at $100 and she’s scheduled to appear in court on July 13.

Reinaldo Cortagena, 38, was arrested on July 8 at 3:50 a.m. for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was pulled over for speeding on Ethan Allen Highway. Bail was set at $200 and he’s scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Danbury on July 23. 

Shannon Engel , 23, of Gaylordsville, Conn., was arrested on July 1 on a charge of driving under the influence. According to police, Engel was spotted at approximately 8:15 p.m. crossing over the middle line on Danbury Rd. Bail was set at $250 and she’s scheduled to appear in court on July 24.

Other Arrests

Elizabeth Caires, of Danbury Road, was arrested on July 2 on charges of driving an unregistered vehicle and driving with a suspended license. She was released on a promise to appear in court on July 20.

Serlyn Portes, 22, of Woodside, N.Y. was arrested on June 30 on a charge of first-degree failure to appear in court. The original charge was from an unspecified case in 2009. Bail was set at $10,000 and she was scheduled to appear in court on July 2.
