Ridgefield Woman Charged in November Fatal Accident
Outstanding warrant leads to arrest in 2013 fatal hit-and-run in Danbury.
A Ridgefield woman arrested in Danbury on shoplifting charges Saturday was also charged with manslaughter in relation to a fatal accident in November.
While being processed for the alleged larceny, Danbury police discovered an outstanding warrant for Sarah Jessie Allen, 33, of Gilbert Street, Ridgefield, for her alleged involvement in a fatal hit-and-run late last year.
According to the Danbury News-Times, Allen was held on $50,000 bond pending her arraignment Monday on charges of manslaughter in the second degree (while under the influence of drugs or alcohol), driving under the influence, and failure to drive right, among others.
