Ridgefield Police: Forgery, Larceny

Ridgefield police investigated the theft of checks from a Ridgefield home, and then charged Maxwell Mulligan, Ritch Drive, Ridgefield, on a warrant with fifth-degree larceny and third-degree forgery. Police said they charged Mulligan while he was appearing in Danbury Superior Court on another matter. He was served on Oct. 30 at 10:30 p.m. Mulligan is next scheduled to appear on this case on Dec. 3.

In the earlier case, Mulligan was charged on July 31 with five counts of robbery, all in July, all in Danbury. He has pleaded not guilty to the five robbery charges.

This information was provided by the Ridgefield Police Department. Information from the Danbury case come from the Connecticut Judicial Department's website. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.
