Ridgefield Police: DUI, Oxycodone, Marijuana

The Ridgefield Police pulled over Sawyer Smith, 19, Silver Spring Road, at 3:42 p.m. Thursday on the Danbury Road after seeing he was driving a car with an expired registration. Police said Smith was carrying two oxycodone pills, less than a half ounce of marijuana, and he was driving an unregistered motor vehicle with a suspended driver's license. 

In an unrelated case, Ridgefield police pulled over a driver for erratic operation on Ethan Allen Highway at 12:47 a.m. Sunday. Isaiah Gary, 32, George Avenue, Norwalk, was charged with driving under the influence, failure to drive right, driving without a license, and driving an unregistered motor vehicle. Gary was released on a $60 bond and is scheduled to answer these charges in Danbury Superior Court on Nov. 8.
