Route 7 Crash Leads to DUI
Ridgefield Police charged a man with DUI and following too closely after a two-car accident on Route 7 Monday.
Ridgefield Police reported they charged John Henry Lowenstine, 48, with driving under the influence and following too closely after Lowenstine's car struck a second car on Route 7 Monday at about 3:45 p.m.
Police said Lowenstine's car rear-ended another car, and Lowenstine failed a field sobriety test. He was released on a $100 bond for an appearance in Danbury Superior Court on Jan. 29.
This information was provided by the Ridgefield Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.
