Ridgefield Police: Drug Paraphernalia, Reckless Driving

Ridgefield Police charged one juvenile with possession of drug paraphernalia and turned him over to his parents and charged a Silverbrook Road man with several driving violations after he failed to stop when police tried to pull him over.

Ridgefield Police charged Sean Riley, 18, of Silverbrook Road, with evading responsibility, engaging in pursuit and reckless driving after callers told police there was a man driving erratically on North Salem Road Jan. 12 at 1:30 a.m. Police said they saw Riley on North Salem Road and on Ridgebury Road, but he wouldn't stop. They found him again on Ridgebury Road and on Spring Valley Road, and he wouldn't stop. Police found him at home and charged him with the above crimes. He was released on a $500 bond for an appearance in Danbury Superior Court on Friday.

In an unrelated incident, Ridgefield Police charged a juvenile with possession of drug paraphernalia at 8:20 p.m. Jan. 16 at Bennetts Farm State Park. Police said they were on routine patrol when they saw the youth parked in a car with another person. Police found a pipe with marijuana residue in it. He was issued a juvenile summons for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released to the custody of his parents with a response date to juvenile court on Jan. 28.
