Ridgefield Police: 4 DUI Arrests in 7 Days
One man was reportedly driving the wrong way on Route 7 when an officer pulled him over.
Ridgefield Police are cracking down on drunk driving.
In a span of seven days in February, the department made four DUI arrests. Here's information about each, as provided by police:
Gregory Janerico, 18, of Tackora Trail in Ridgefield, was arrested by warrant Feb. 4 on a charge of DUI and traveling too fast for conditions. The arrest stems from an accident on Shadow Lake Road, police said. Janerico was released after posting a $200 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 20.
Christopher Manning, 30, of Hastings on Hudson, NY, was arrested at 1:47 a.m. Feb. 8 on a charge of DUI and failure to drive in the proper lane. Police said Manning was involved in a one-vehicle crash on West Lane. He was released after posting a $100 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 27.
Filiberto Hernandez, 37, of Bridgeport, was arrested at 12:40 a.m. on Feb. 10 on a charge of DUI, failure to drive right and operating a motor vehicle without a license. Police said Hernandez was driving north in a southbound lane on Route 7. He was released on a $200 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 6.
Alberta Roe, 63, of Danbury, was arrested at 10:24 p.m. on Feb. 11 on a charge of DUI and failure to drive right. Police said she was arrested after they received a report of an erratic driver on on North Street; she was pulled over on Copps Hill Road. Roe was released after posting a $50 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 24.
