Online Dating Scams are HUGE

The Better Business Bureau of Connecticut is warning people that online dating scams account for more than 10 percent of all online cash scams.

The BBB reported that nearly 30 percent of the victims were women 50 years of age or older, and identity theft is frequently part of the problem. On the average, women who are scammed can lose as much as $46,000, compared to $9,000 for male victims.
