After Hours Park Visit Leads to Warrant Arrest

Ridgefield police checking a car parked at the dog park off Prospect Ridge Road at 3:19 a.m. Friday discovered Elizabeth Johnson, 24, of Main Street, Ridgefield, was wanted on a warrant for violation of probation. The underlying offenses were convictions for fourth-degree larceny and third-degree forgery in 2012. The probation violation appears to have arisen from those convictions. Police said Johnson was held on a $25,000 bond for arraignment Friday. She was arraigned in Danbury Superior Court and held on a $1,500 bond.

This information was provided by the Ridgefield Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.
