Theater Barn Adds Extra Performance of Spring Awakening!

Audiences rave it's “fearless”, "edgy", and “powerful.” Critics say it “raises the bar of local theater”. We’ve added one more performance – get your tickets while you can!

Due to consistently soldout shows, and seeing many patrons returning for a second and third time, The Ridgefield Theater Barn has added a 3pm matinee performance of Spring Awakening on Saturday, October 6th.

Critics and audience members alike have been raving about this production, which is directed by Alicia Dempster, choreographed by Regina Sweeney, musically directed by Sam Sultan, and produced by Wayne Leiss.  Katie Castel for The Ridgefield Press calls it a, “sensual folk-rock roller coaster” that is, “raising the bar for local theater.”  And Erik Ofgang of the NewsTimes says the production is a, “dark, unflinching, and at times literally naked look at the trials and tribulations adolescents endure [which]..the cast and crew is able to navigate …with grace, inspiring us with rollicking punk rock 'n' roll anthems and horrifying us by portraying acts of disturbing ignorance, cruelty and depravity.”

Please note, Spring Awakening is intended for mature audiences only and contains strong sexual content, brief nudity, course language and adult themes. Parental discretion is advised.

The musical with book & lyrics by Steven Sater, music by Duncan Sheik, presented through special arrangement by Music Theatre International is playing through October 6th.

Tickets are $26 for adults, $22 for students/seniors (62), $25 for onstage seats.  Cabaret seating, doors open one hour prior to curtain.  For more information, please visit www.ridgefieldtheaterbarn.org
