SPRING AWAKENING opens Friday!!

The Theater Barn kicks off it's 47th Season with Spring Awakening this Fri, Sept 7th, through Sat Oct 6. Tickets are selling quickly, so make your reservations today - it's not to be missed!

The Ridgefield Theater Barn is thrilled to present Spring Awakening, book & lyrics by Steven Sater, music by Duncan Sheik, presented through special arrangement by Music Theatre International, as the opening to their 47th Season, Friday, September 7th at 8pm. The production, directed by Alicia Dempster, choreographed by Regina Sweeney, musical direction by Sam Sultan, and produced by Wayne Leiss, will be presented Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm September 7th through October 6th, with Sunday matinees September 16th, 23rd and 30th at 5pm.

 

Spring Awakening is an award-winning rock musical adaptation of the controversial 1892 German play of the same title. Set in late-19th century Germany, it concerns teenagers who are discovering the inner and outer tumult of sexuality.  The production features Jasmin Barbosa (Brewster), Kaitlin Brozek (Weston), Marcelo Calderon (Norwalk), Trevor Carr (Ridgefield), Chris Cenatiempo (Norwalk), Elizabeth D’Aiuto (Ridgefield), Jake Eventoff (Newtown), Molly Foulds (Trumbull), Sarah Heinzmann (Ridgefield), Samantha Holomakoff (Norwalk), Keiji Ishiguri (White Plains), Brooke Morris (Danbury), Carly Phypers (Brewster), Bennett Shuldman (Ridgefield), Jeff Shuldman (Ridgefield), and Mary Shuldman (Ridgefield).

 

Please note, Spring Awakening is intended for mature audiences only and contains strong sexual content, brief nudity, course language and adult themes. Parental discretion is advised.

 

There will be a special performance Sunday, September 23rd, with a talk-back with original Broadway cast members.  Tickets for that performance are slightly higher.

 

Tickets are $26 for adults, $22 for students/seniors (62), $25 for onstage seats.  Cabaret seating, doors open one hour prior to curtain.  For more information, please visit www.ridgefieldtheaterbarn.org
