Ridgefield Native Creates Newtown Memorial Illustration

Former resident Jamison Odone shared his illustration that honors the victims of the Newtown shooting.

Jamison Odone said he created Sandy Hook Angel, because "it's the only thing he knows how to do."

"That might sound strange, but that is the reason," said the former Ridgefield resident. "I just wanted to make something that showed how sad this is—something with all of their names."

Odone moved last year from Ridgefield to Frostburg, MD, to work as a professor and run the Illustration Focus program in the BFA program at Frostburg State University. He's also an author and illustrator of children's books, and has a young son named Oliver.
