Stroll down Main Street and you will undoubtedly find yourself gazing at the beautiful display of glasses in the window of George Amatuzzi’s office.  The front step made of artistically designed mosaic tiles adds to the glamour factor.  Dr. Amatuzzi is available for eye examinations Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m.-5 p.m.  For those who prefer evening hours, the office is open until 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays.

Ridgefield Family Eye Care is a family-oriented practice with four specialists on-staff, plus a well-stocked eyeglass boutique.  The exam process is incredibly thorough, incorporating state-of-the-art equipment such as the Optomap, which allows the doctors to look at the retina without having to dilate a patient’s eyes.  The practice also includes the Institute for Sports Vision, which specializes in vision testing, enhancement, and training for athletes.  Open Monday-Saturday, with emergency hours on Sundays.  For specific hours, visit the website.
