Annual Holiday Stroll

The annual Holiday Stroll last night was wonderful.  It was great to see all parking spaces filled to maximum capacity everywhere I went and people strolling up and down the side walks despite the rain and dropping temperature.  Several women dining at Luc's told me they come every year for this event and do all their Christmas shopping at the local stores in town, just because they like the shops and the people here. They were from various towns along the Hudson in New York and it was just what the business owners want to hear.  It was a shop owner who suggested they try Luc's.  It was their first time there and of course they were thrilled with the recommendation.  But aside from the business aspects, the real joy of the Holiday Stroll is just saying hello and Happy Holidays to our neighbors and friends and those we don't know but with whom we share the joy.  I love the spirit of this town and the sense of community here and the naturalness of just grabbing an umbrella and coming out for a stroll.  Happy Holidays  :)
