Well Known, Loved Barbara Siller, 78

Ridgefield resident Barbara (Berman) Siller passed away Saturday, July 20.

Barbara (Berman) Siller, 78, of Ridgefield, formerly of Danbury, died at her home on Saturday, July 20, 2013.

She was the wife of the late Bernard I. Siller who died on April 6 of this year.

Mrs. Siller was born in New Haven, CT on November 14, 1934, daughter of Lincoln and Anita Berman. She grew up in Bridgeport, CT, attended Bridgeport schools and married Bernard Siller on November 21, 1954.

Mrs. Siller was the former payroll manager for Scholastic and prior to that the payroll supervisor at Ethan Allen and Sapolin Paints.

She had a personality that just “drew you in.” Everybody knew her and everyone loved her. She will be sorely missed.

Barbara is survived by her son Randy P. Siller and his wife, Sheri Siller of New York, NY; three grandchildren whom she loved more than anything in the world, Meredith Julia Siller, an attorney in Los Angeles, CA, Stefanie Jada Siller, currently on a fellowship in Kenya, and Isabella Madison Siller.

Graveside funeral services and burial will take place on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the United Jewish Center Cemetery, Brookfield with Cantor Penny Kessler of the United Jewish Center, Danbury officiating.

Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
