Obituary: Joan Pandolfi, 80, Thrift Shop Volunteer

Joan E. Pandolfi, 80, of Ridgefield, wife of the late John “Musky” Pandolfi died on Monday evening, March 18, 2013 at her home.

Mrs. Pandolfi was born in New Rochelle, NY, daughter of Albert and Alice (Butler) Burkhart and was raised and schooled in Westchester County, NY until the family relocated from Westchester County.

She was a graduate of Middletown (CT) High School.

A resident of Ridgefield for the past fifty-three years moving from Croton Falls, NY, she was employed as a salesperson at the former Caboose of Ridgefield and for the past twelve years volunteered at the Ridgefield Thrift Shop.

She was a member of Founders Hall and of S. Mary Parish both of Ridgefield.

Mrs. Pandolfi is survived by her three children, John Pandolfi, Christina (Guy) Montanari and Pamela (Robert) Principe all of Ridgefield; two brothers, Albert Burkhart of Kinderhook, NY and Robert Burkhart of New Milford, CT, six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Private graveside funeral services and burial will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.

There will be no calling hours.

Contributions in Joan’s memory may be made to Regional Hospice and Home Care, 39 Ridgebury Rd., The Matrix Center, Danbury, CT  06810.

Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield is in charge of arrangements.
