Obituary: Jean Ann Webb died Nov. 15 at Danbury Hospital

Jean Ann Webb of Ridgefield, who raised Weimaraners, died on Friday, Nov. 15,  at Danbury Hospital. She was 77 years old and the widow of Capt. David A. Webb.

“Jeannie” Webb was born in Charleston, W.Va., on May 31, 1936, daughter of William and Mary Elizabeth (Stewart) Hudnall.  She attended West Virginia schools.

A resident of Ridgefield since 1966 coming from Los Altos, Calif., Mrs. Webb raised Weimaraners and judged Weimaraners at many dog shows, and was a member of the Nutmeg Weimaraners Club.

She enjoyed painting, using oils and watercolors, and was a member of the First Congregational Church.

She is survived by three nephews, Jonathan Korda of Saco, Me., Mark Korda of Portland, Me., and Timothy Korda of Old Orchard, Me.; a niece, Holly Korda, also of Old Orchard; special friend, Fatima Benson-Marciano as well as several grandnieces, grandnephews and several cousins.

The Rev. Dr. Charles Hambrick-Stowe, senior pastor, will lead a memorial service at the First Congregational Church, 103 Main St., Saturday, Jan. 11, at 11 a.m.

Contributions in Mrs. Webb’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Arthritis Foundation.
