Obituary: Ada Leary, 97, of Ridgefield Died Sunday, Nov. 10

Ada (Pierandri) Leary, 97, of Ridgefield, wife of the late John “Jack” Leary died on Sunday morning, November 10, 2013 at Danbury Hospital.

Mrs. Leary was born in Ridgefield, February 22, 1916, daughter of Mariano and Maria (Bacchi) Pierandri. She attended Ridgefield schools and was the last living graduate of Ridgefield High School-Class of 1933.

Mrs. Leary was a retired sales clerk at the former H.P. Bissell Drug Store of Ridgefield where she had been employed for many years.

Active in St. Mary Parish of Ridgefield, Mrs. Leary was a member of the Rosary Society, Altar Society, Mother’s Club and volunteer at many church functions as well as a weekly collection counter.

She was a member of Founders Hall and the “JGG Club”.

Mrs. Leary is survived by two daughters, Aileen M. Eagan and her husband, Judge Joseph Egan of Ridgefield and Patricia L. Miller and her husband Rick Duncan of Asheville, NC; a sister in law, Delphine Pierandri of Ridgefield; three grandsons, Michael Miller, Patrick Egan and Sean Egan; five great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. in St. Mary Church, Ridgefield.

Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.

The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield on Tuesday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
