RIDGEFIELD, Conn. (August 22, 2013)  - Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage is pleased to announce that it has donated $40,000 to Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western Connecticut (RHHC)  in support of the new hospice facility that is under construction in Danbury, Conn. The donation was made through the company’s charitable foundation, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Foundation.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Foundation recently presented the check to RHHC, which has started constructing a 36,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility on Old Ridgebury Road that is the first free-standing, private-room hospice in the state of Connecticut. The facility will have 12 private suites for patients, a family kitchen, chapel, library and common gathering areas. It will also house the Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children and Families, which provides grief counseling and support services.

“Our team at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage is very pleased to help in getting this  important new facility built,” said Cathleen Smith, Ridgefield resident and president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Connecticut & Westchester County, N.Y. “We recognize that Regional Hospice provides incredible support and compassion for patients and their families during a very difficult time, and we wanted to demonstrate our appreciation for this wonderful organization.
