I used to consider myself to be a Summer person. Sunbathing, bobbing in the bay, and warm nights lounging with family and friends on the deck, fed my seasonal joy. Since I began to take photography more seriously, Spring just seems to be popping out all over! Each and every morning brings another revelation of new life to my surroundings. I have had some great garden help this year as well, which has allowed me with a few more moments to stop and listen, and I thank God for this blessing and for the beauty of his creation. Today, I caught this sweet bird building a nest in the geranium plant I purchased at the Ballard Green plant sale a few weeks back. A friend saw this photo after I posted it on Facebook, and said, "you caught her in the act.". That phrase resonated with me. For hours, I watched this bird tirelessly and seemingly effortlessly build it's nest. Afterwards, all I thought was, I want to be "caught in the act" of building something strong and beautiful for others. How about you?
