Local Rotarians Honored for Battling Hunger in Ridgefield

Rotary Club of Ridgefield Sunrise awarded citation for work on behalf of local food pantry.

The Rotary Club of Ridgefield Sunrise was recognized by the Board of Selectmen at their last meeting for the club’s efforts in the fight against hunger.

Ridgefield Sunrise representatives were presented with a citation from the board on May 28 for their work in support of Ridgefield Social Services.

The Club collects food and cash for the Social Services Food Pantry on the first Saturday of each month in front of the Stop & Shop market in Copps Hill Plaza. Cash donations can also be made at any time in the jar on the counter of Ridgefield Liquor, which is also in Copps Hill Plaza.
