Probate Judge to meet with Senior Agencies

The Coalition of Agencies Relating to Elderly Services (CARES) members will meet at Laurel Ridge Health Care Center, 642 Danbury Road (Rte 7), Ridgefield, on Thursday, Apr. 24, at 2 PM.  Guest speaker, Probate Judge Dianne Yamin, who was the first female-elected probate judge in the Danbury area and has served since in 1990, will discuss the probate court consolidation, conservatorships and will give an update on the probate court’s current legislation.  Professionals who offer senior services in the greater-Ridgefield area are invited to attend.  The coalition’s mission is to bring professionals together who provide services and resources to the rapidly growing elderly population in order to maintain and improve the quality of life and independence of older persons.  Co-sponsors Laurel Ridge and the RVNA are glad to host these innovative professionals focused on improving the lives of others. Members meet quarterly at various locations where like-minded individuals come together to better serve the aging population through education, information, and networking.  Free light refreshments will be provided.  For more information or to reserve for this meeting, please contact Bonnie Leavy-Mello at outreach@laurelridgehcc.com call (203) 438-8226.
