Independence Day Scavanger Hunt

The 4th of July symbolizes the benchmark of our desire for independence from England. We all know about the Declaration of Independence but what really happened on the July 4, 1776? John Adams thought it would be celebrated on the 6th. What do the towns of Wolcott, Sherman and Huntington State Park have in common? Who were the minute men and why were they different from the regular 18th Century town militia. Did you know that the Boston Tea Party got its name in 1834? Come join us and learn what it was called by our founding fathers along with other fun facts in our 4th of July Scavenger Hunt. Clues will be scattered around an area in Ballard Park and the participates that find all the answers will win a prize. Who commanded this flag fly over Boston making it the first American Flag?
